Frye Law Offices, PA is the private practice of Katherine A. Frye. The firm has been in operation since 2003. The practice is a full service family law firm. Family law comprises separation, divorce, child custody and visitation, child support, postseparation support and alimony, and property distribution. The firm also focuses on mediation of all issues related to the divorce. In addition, Lynn Bruce serves the area as a Parent Coordinator

Katherine received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After graduation, Katherine went directly to law school and graduated from The Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. While in law school, Katherine participated in the National and Regional Advocacy Competitions and received the honor of the Order of Old Kivett for her superior performance.
After graduating from law school, Katherine immediately started a law firm with a fellow classmate. Two years later, Katherine started her own law firm, Frye Law Offices, P.A. Her practice specializes in all aspects of family law, including separation, divorce, child custody and visitation, child support, post separation support and alimony, and property distribution.
Katherine is a North Carolina Board Certified Specialist in Family Law. In addition, Katherine is a North Carolina Dispute Resolution Certified Family Financial Mediator. Her practice has been limited to family law for almost ten years.
During her career, Katherine has served as the State Chair of the Silent Partners Program which is a division of the Young Lawyers Division of the North Carolina Bar Association. More recently, Katherine served as the Wake County representative for the Silent Partners Program for over three years. Katherine has also participated in other projects such as “Lunch with a Lawyer,” where she was paired with a teenage child to mentor, and Katherine and her former partner conducted seminars at Campbell Law School to advise other lawyers on starting their own law firm. Katherine is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education courses related to family law and at seminars geared to attorneys who have decided to start their own firm.
Katherine and her husband reside in North Raleigh along with their daughter and two dogs. They are both active in the German Shepherd Rescue Association, and they frequently have one additional dog in their house which they are fostering. Katherine also enjoys being outside with her family and working out at the local YMCA.
Bruce
Lynn C. Bruce completed her undergraduate degree in English and Secondary Education at the State University of New York at Geneseo. After teaching high school for several years, Lynn began her second career by applying to law school. She graduated with honors from Albany Law School in Albany, New York in 1992. After several years in a private practice focused in family and matrimonial law, she accepted a position as a Court Attorney with the Fulton County Family Court. In June of 2000, Ms. Bruce relocated with her family to Raleigh, North Carolina, where she began her third career – a full time mother to Sawyer, a hockey player and Hannah, a soccer player. Lynn joined Frye Law Offices in 2004. She is licensed to practice in North Carolina and New York. Ms. Bruce is also a Parent Coordinator, which is a professional appointed by the court to address parent’s issues when the parties have a history of difficulty. Ms. Bruce is active in her community, and she currently spends any extra time she has at the Saving Grace animal shelter in Wake Forest. She and her husband, Kenneth, reside with their children in North Raleigh.
Christine Universal is a native of Niagara Falls , NY where she attended college. She and her husband Kevin moved to Raleigh in 2000, with their two sons Thayer & Grant, who both are avid hockey players. Christine joined the Frye Law Offices team in 2004. When she is not at the office you can either find her on a tennis court with one of her teams or at a hockey practice with her boys.
Cindy Froass is a born and bred Tarheel. She and her husband Tom have one son Thomas. Cindy joined the team in 2006 where she brought her extensive administrative experience to the office. Cindy spends most of her spare time watching her son play roller hockey or spending time with her extensive family in the area.
