About Frye Law Offices
Katherine Frye
After graduating from law school, Katherine immediately started a partnership with a fellow classmate. Two years later, Katherine started her own law firm, Frye Law Offices, P.A. Her practice is limited to all aspects of family law, including separation, divorce, child custody and visitation, child support, post separation support and alimony, and property distribution. In addition, Katherine has completed a forty-hour basic mediation course and a forty-hour family financial medication course, and she is a North Carolina Dispute Resolution Certified Family Financial Mediator. Katherine understands that part of her job as an attorney is to mediate the situation between the parties during every phase of the case. In November 2006, Katherine became a North Carolina Board Certified Specialist in Family Law, which is a distinction few lawyers in the state have obtained.
During her career, Katherine has served as the State Chair of the Silent Partners Program run by The Young Lawyers Division of the North Carolina Bar Association. The program is designed to assist new lawyers as they begin to practice law by pairing a new lawyer with an experienced lawyer from the same community who can answer the new lawyer's questions about practicing law. Most recently, Katherine served as the Wake County representative for the Silent Partners Program for over three years. Katherine has also participated in other projects such as "Lunch with a Lawyer," where she was paired with a teenage child to mentor, and Katherine and her former partner conducted seminars at Campbell Law School to advise other lawyers on starting their own law firm.
Katherine and her husband, Kevin, reside in North Raleigh along with their two dogs, Foster & Sienna. They are both active in the German Shepherd Rescue Association, and they frequently have one additional dog in their house which they are fostering. Katherine also enjoys being outside with her family and working out at the local YMCA.
